We offer a wide range of equine services for your equine friends. From wellness exams to teeth floats, to colic and more, we're there for you and your horses when you need us. 

Keeping your horse healthy starts with routine care and essential vaccinations. At Bar S Animal Clinic, we offer comprehensive equine vaccine services tailored to your horse’s needs.

• Spring Vaccines:

                      Rabies

                      VEWT (Venezuelan, Eastern & Western Encephalitis, Tetanus)

                      West Nile Virus

• Fall Vaccines:

                       Rhino/Flu (Equine Herpesvirus & Influenza)
 

*Other vaccines are available upon request with advance notice.*

What to Expect During a Vaccine Visit

Every vaccination appointment includes a full wellness check by one of our veterinarians. This includes:

• Eye and dental assessment
• Temperature check
• Heart and lung auscultation
• Discussion of any concerns or care questions you may have
   

Our team is here to ensure your equine partner receives the best preventative care possible.

When your horse isn't quite themselves—whether it's a sudden illness, signs of lameness, or just something that seems off—our experienced veterinary team is here to help.

What to Expect

Our veterinarians will perform a thorough physical exam to assess your horse’s condition. This may include:

• Listening to the heart and lungs
• Evaluating temperature and hydration
• Checking for pain, swelling, or stiffness
• Observing movement if lameness is suspected
   

Based on findings, we’ll recommend appropriate treatments or further diagnostics or transfer to a full service facility

On-Site & Mobile X-Ray Services

We offer digital radiography both in-clinic and in the field, making it easier to evaluate orthopedic issues, injuries, or internal concerns—without the need for transport.

We understand it’s not always convenient—or possible—to bring your horse to the clinic. That’s why Bar S Animal Clinic offers on-site equine veterinary services for our local clients.

To ensure a safe and effective visit, we ask that:

• Horses are caught and ready before our arrival
• A safe, well-lit area is available for examination
• For dental floats, access to water and sometimes electricity may be required (depending on the veterinarian)
• If weather is poor, a covered area must be provided
• A complete list of horses and requested services is shared when scheduling
